Algae Design Studio creates non-toxic, sustainable spaces, gardens, and interiors that benefit both people and the planet.
Why Algae?
Algae in overabundance looks like pond scum. But in balance? It produces half the world's oxygen and creates thriving ecosystems.
That's what we do with sustainable design—prove it can be both Earth-friendly and beautiful. Not "crunchy," not a compromise. Genuinely livable, functional, and restorative.
Algae also embody interdependence. They exist in symbiosis—in coral, in lichens, in colonies. They dissolve the boundary between self and ecosystem. Shared breath. Collective intelligence. Entangled life.
We design with that same principle: your space isn't separate from the living world—it's part of it. Gardens and interiors that connect you to natural systems. Where you don't choose between Earth-friendly and feeling like home, because they're the same thing.
What's The Angle?
The term, “what’s the angle” is rooted in journalism, typically referring to someone’s specific perspective. Algae Design Studio explore materials, ecologies, and ideas that inform how we design a space. It's the research and thinking layer that feeds the practice and perspective.
